12th partners workshop

On April 4th we had our 12th partner meeting. The focus again was our Mobility Preparation E-learning program but this time our discussions were supported by a demo course piloted in Coursevo.  We are almost ready to introduce our gamified training in support of mobility preparation of VET learning.



11th partners workshop

Our research team always seeks to provide the best user experience for potential trainees and trainers. On December 10th the GAME IT partners met for the 11th time to discuss the training and teaching materials currently under development. We devoted part of the meeting to discussing the best way to provide new concepts in multimedia mode.



Erasmus Days

About 500 students visited the open-air exhibition that took place in Heraklion Crete on the 15th of October 2021. This live regional event at Heraklion Crete was organized by the Regional Directorate of Education to celebrate Erasmus Days. 31 schools and educational organizations took part and 45 Erasmus+ projects were presented. The GAME IT project participated with a poster and video projection presenting the project aims and the results achieved and activities that took place during the 1st year of the project.



Another partner meeting

September is the month of the year that we are relaxed, full of energy, and enthusiastic about new knowledge and experience. This month marks the start of the academic year but also puts new tasks on the work agenda, especially for those involved in teaching and training activities.

Our GAME IT research team accepted the challenge to meet on September 14th so to discuss the project`s progress, distribute new tasks, and work towards the production of high-quality content for our gamified mobility preparation training for IVET and CVET learners. Our gamification methodology and content templates are ready and adopted. We agreed on the task distribution and set deadlines… We will meet again next month to check the achievements.

Gamification Design Workshop in Turkey

MIMEM organized 2 consecutive workshops for identification and design of gamification elements that can be efficiently used in the GAME IT training.

The first event was organized on 24th of May and 20 students and 4 teachers from Bodrum Turgut Reis Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School took part in it. The second event, held on 26th of May attracted 26 students and 4 teachers from Ataturk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.



GAME IT partners meet again

The GAME IT research teams from all 6 partner organizations had a very fruitful discussion yesterday. After a short review and discussion of the almost ready IVET and CVET syllabuses, our teams shared their findings regarding the technological solutions, game elements, and game design techniques that might be most suitable for preparing our IO2: Gamified Mobility Preparation E-learning Program.



Gamification Design Workshop in Dobrich, BG

Dobrudja Agrarian and Business school organized an “Gamification Design Workshop”. The event that took place on the 14th of May 2021 in Dobrich and was attended by 16 students from Private High School Profiled in Tourism and Entrepreneurship “Rayko Tsonchev`. The event agenda included 2 panels: (1) presentations regarding the Erasmus+ mobility opportunities, the GAME IT project and the gamification concept and applications and (2) workshop devoted on identification and discussion of popular games and potential game elements that could be integrated into mobility preparation training. The workshop ended with its evaluation by all the participants. 



Online workshop

An online workshop for the Preparation for the equal participation of VET students in learning mobility programs abroad” was organized by the Directorate of Secondary Education of Chania on March 17th 2021. The event was attended by teachers and principals of secondary and post-secondary VET schools including schools with no experience in VET mobilities and five experienced schools (2nd EPAL of Chania, 1st EPAL of Psachna, 5th Evening EPAL of Thessaloniki, DIEK Egaleo and DIEK Glyfada). After the introduction of the GAME IT project, the participants presented the difficulties and problems but also the solutions and the good practices they have adopted when designing and implementing VET mobility programs for Tourism and Hospitality including supporting the students before, during and after mobility. The participants discussed the impact of the mobility programs on the personal and professional development of students that they have witnessed and the importance of facilitating equal access of all students to learning mobility programs contributing in this way to the opening of new professional horizons and practices for them.
